Railside Committees
The Railside BID is an accredited member of the Main Street America program which follows the Four Points for downtown revitalization: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization. The Main Street Approach is a time-tested framework for community-driven, comprehensive revitalization.
Promotions
The Promotion Committee works to position Railside as the center of the community and hub of economic activity while creating a positive image that showcases our community's unique characteristics.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. Locations are rotated among various businesses. Please contact Sherry Siwinski for meeting locations.
Economic vitality
The Economic Vitality Committee focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators that drive local economies.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the Hedde Building.
Design
The Design Committee supports a community's transformation by enhancing the physical and visual assets that set the commercial district apart.
Meetings are held quarterly on the fourth Thursday at 8:00 a.m. at the Chocolate Bar. Please contact Sherry Siwinski for the next meeting date.
ORGANIZATION
The Business Improvement District's board functions as the Organization Committee. The BID's work involves creating a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort, including cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the district.
The BID holds regular monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the Hedde Building.
